Taxonomy
Prelissorhynchia triplicatioid was named by Xu and Grant (1994). Its type specimen is USNM 456061, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Huayingshan Section, Linshui County, which is in a Changhsingian carbonate limestone in the Changxing Formation of China.
