Taxonomy
Devonopronorites was named by Bogoslovsky (1954) [Sepkoski's age data: D Fras-m Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Devonopronorites ruzhencevi. It is the type genus of Devonopronoritidae.

It was assigned to Anarcestida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Devonopronoritidae by Korn and Klug (2002) and Korn (2006).
