Taxonomy
Eobeloceras was named by Schindewolf (1936) [Sepkoski's age data: D Fras-u Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Ammonites multiseptatus.

It was assigned to Gephuroceratidae by Yatskov (1990); to Anarcestida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Beloceratidae by Korn and Klug (2002) and Korn (2006).
