Rode et al. 2003 (Bicarinella)Carapace subtriangular, subamplete, height less than or subequal to length, small (up to 1.6 mm in length); well-developed marginal rim present; posterior margin of carapace rounded with retral swing; anterior margin of carapace weakly acuminate; anterior and posterior lobes present as sharp, linear ridges with well-defined borders; anterior lobe extended into sharp ridge up to one-third carapace length, directed posteroventrally; posteriormost part of anterior ridge with greatest relief and possibly forming node, ridge becoming less pronounced anteriorly; posterior lobe developed as sharp ridge, up to one-third carapace length; dorsal region between anterior and posterior lobes convex, forming low node with indistinct borders.
