Saurorictus australis
Taxonomy
Saurorictus australis was named by Modesto and Smith (2001). Its type specimen is SAM PK-8666, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Leeukloof 43, which is in a Wuchiapingian dry floodplain claystone/siltstone in the Teekloof Formation of South Africa. It is the type species of Saurorictus.
