Taxonomy
Streptorhynchus costatus was named by Thomas (1958). Its type specimen is CPC 1424, a shell (Incomplete articulated shell), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is BMR KNA28, Mount Anderson Homestead, Grant Range, which is in a Kungurian shallow subtidal limestone in the Noonkanbah Formation of Australia.
