Taxonomy
Durhamina primitiva was named by Stevens (2008). Its type specimen is USNM 531321 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SJS-767, Ninemile Canyon, Pequop Mountains, which is in a Gzhelian carbonate limestone in the Riepe Spring Formation of Nevada.
