It was recombined as Pleurotoma nebula by Montfort (1803) and Wood (1882); it was recombined as Clavatula nebula by Wood (1848) and Wood (1848); it was recombined as Mangelia nebula by Forbes and Hanley (1853), Poppe and Goto (1991) and Callapez and Ferreira Soares (2000).
