Taxonomy
Streptorhynchus cyrano was named by Chronic (1949). Its type specimen is AMNH 26930/1:1, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is AMNH286, Bed 7, Cerro Caya Caya Section 18, which is in an Artinskian marine limestone in Peru.
