Enteletes gibbosus

Taxonomy

Enteletes gibbosus was named by Chronic (1949). Its type specimen is AMNH 26953/1:4, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is AMNH301, Bed 56b, Rasuvilca Hills section 9, Pajege Canyon, which is in an Asselian/Sakmarian marine limestone in Peru.

Synonyms

Enteletes bisulcata was named by Liao and Meng (1986). Its type specimen is NIGP 74150 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dapaichong, Huatang, Chenxian County, which is in a Changhsingian shallow subtidal limestone in the Changxing Formation of China.

It was synonymized subjectively with Enteletes gibbosus by Shen and Shi (2007).
Enteletes xiziensis was named by Liang (1990). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lengwu, lower Cunhouling Member, Tonglu, which is in a Capitanian coastal siliciclastic in the Lengwu Formation of China.

It was synonymized subjectively with Enteletes gibbosus by Shen and Shi (2007).
