Witwatia schlosseri
Taxonomy
Witwatia schlosseri was named by Gunnell et al. (2008). Its type specimen is CGM 83668, a mandible (left dentary with c1-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Birket Qarun 2, which is in a Priabonian channel sandstone in the Birket Qarun Formation of Egypt. It is the type species of Witwatia.
