Taxonomy
Fenestrellina salebrosa was named by Chronic (1949). Its type specimen is AMNH 26970/1:1 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is AMNH300, Bed 5, Section 8, Río Apurimac, SE of Pasaje, which is in a Moscovian marine limestone in Peru.
