Taxonomy
Stylophora paumotensis was named by Chevalier (1976). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is DSDP site 76, Atoll Manihi, which is in a Pliocene reef, buildup or bioherm packstone/grainstone in French Polynesia.
