Tyler 1965 | Low- to moderately high-spired, turbiniform shells with narrow slit extending about one-eighth the circumference of body whorl and generating typically non-lunulated, shallow selenizone bordered by pronounced cords or threads, lower thread forming whorl pe-riphery; sutures sharply incised; whorl profile geniculated by pronounced shoulder creating ramp occupying about two-thirds distance be-tween suture and selenizone; peripheral angu-lation in several specimens slight, extending less than one millimeter below lower thread of selenizone; basal part of whorl evenly rounded; anomphalus; small columellar inductura present; growth lines moderately prosocline above seleni-zone and very slightly so below; collabral ornament absent or faint and spiral ornament restricted to upper whorl surface, typically con-sisting of single cord or row of nodes immediately below suture. |
