Taxonomy
Delepinoceras was named by Miller and Furnish (1954) [Sepkoski's age data: C Serp-l Sepkoski's reference number: 302,304]. It is not extant. Its type is Dimorphoceras thalassoides.

It was assigned to Goniatitida by Sepkoski (2002); to Delepinoceratidae by Korn (2006); and to Delepinoceratinae by Furnish et al. (2009).
