Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
Å. M. Frisk and J. O. R. Ebbestad 2007A species of Bucania Hall, 1847 with four depressed
lenticular whorls. Ornamentation consists of dense, crenulated
but non-lamellose growth lines without distinct increments.

Shell with four rapidly expanding whorls. Whorl expansion rate (W) equals 2.5–3.0. Whorl profile depressed lenticular. The periphery lies at the middle of the whorl with no further thickening of the periphery. Overlap of whorls slight. Apertural angle moderately wide. Little or no anterior expansion of last whorl. Short flare develops at aperture at maturity. Apertural sinus broad and shallow. Slit deep and narrow, probably extending half a whorl back from the aperture. Selenizone narrow, 1/10 of whorl width, positioned on a slightly raised median dorsal crest having thin adaperturally concave lunulae. Shell ornamentation on dorsal and umbilical sides consists of dense, crenulated growth lines but non-lamellose, barely increasing in width and spacing during ontogeny.
