Taxonomy
Epiglyphioceras was named by Spath (1930) [Sepkoski's age data: P Leon P Guad]. Its type is Glyphioceras meneghinii.

It was assigned to Goniatitida by Sepkoski (2002); to Eothinitidae by Korn (2006); and to Eothinitinae by Leonova (2002) and Furnish et al. (2009).
