Spizaetus tanneri
Taxonomy
Spizaetus tanneri was named by Martin (1971). Its type specimen is U.N.S.M. 20038, a limb element (distal end and most of the shaft of the left tarsometatarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lisco Locality B, which is in a Blancan terrestrial horizon in Nebraska.
