Taxonomy
Attenuatella altilis was named by Waterhouse (1968). Its type specimen is NZGS BR 1295, a shell (Articulated internal mold), and it is a mold. Its type locality is GS9391, Rock Hut Road, which is in an Artinskian marine horizon in New Zealand.
