Taxonomy
Pustuloplica bicostata was named by Waterhouse (1968). Its type specimen is NZGS BR 701, a shell (Articulated internal mold), and it is a mold. Its type locality is GS7803, Waituna Farm (D43/f9524), which is in a Changhsingian marine limestone in New Zealand.
