Ingelarella mantuanensis

Taxonomy
Ingelarella mantuanensis was named by Campbell (1960). Its type specimen is UQ F15659, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Ambikella mantuanensis by Waterhouse (1968); it was recombined as Tomiopsis mantuanensis by Termier et al. (1974), Waterhouse (1983) and Waterhouse (1987); it was recombined as Tomiopsis (Ingelarella) mantuanensis by Waterhouse (1998).

Waterhouse 1987Large transverse inflated shells with broad ventral umbo, shallow to moderately defined sulcus bearing prominent subplicae, dorsal fold low, with or without median groove, lateral shell smooth or with low plicae on both valves. Adminicula short to moderately long, subparallel and moderately close-set; tabellae moderately long, diverging slightly.
