Penelopognathus weishampeli

Taxonomy
Penelopognathus weishampeli was named by Godefroit et al. (2005). Its type specimen is IMM 2002-BYGB-1, a mandible (Right dentary), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Qiriga Village, which is in an Aptian terrestrial horizon in the Bayangobi Formation of China.

P. Godefroit et al. 2005Non-hadrosaurid Hadrosauroidea characterised by an elongated dental ramus (ratio ‘length /height at mid-length’ = 4.6), with a straight ventral margin, and whose lateral side is perforated by about 20 irregularly distributed foramina.
