Taxonomy
Mirilentia was named by Ruzhentsev and Bogoslovskaya (1971) [Sepkoski's age data: C Serp-l Sepkoski's reference number: 302,304]. Its type is Mirilentia uberta.

It was assigned to Goniatitida by Sepkoski (2002); to Neoglyphioceratidae by Korn (2006); and to Neoglyphioceratinae by Furnish et al. (2009).
