Leiocephalikon problematicum
Taxonomy
Amblyodon problematicum was named by Dawson (1882). Its type specimen is RM 3061-10, a mandible (fragments of lower jaw with 10 teeth), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Coal Mine Point; Divison 4, Section XV, coal-group 15, which is in a Westphalian A mire/swamp sandstone/coal in the Joggins Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Leiocephalikon, Amblyodon.
It was recombined as Leiocephalikon problematicum by Carroll and Gaskill (1978).
