Taxonomy
Kologyra kuehni was named by Geyer (1955). It is not extant. Its type locality is Stramberk reef, Czechia, which is in a Tithonian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Stramberk Limestone Formation of the Czech Republic.

It was recombined as Placogyra kuehni by Baron-Szabo (2009).
