Taxonomy
Lithodendron longimanum was named by Quenstedt (1881). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Lepidophylliopsis longimana by Beauvais and Stump (1976); it was recombined as Thecosmilia longimana by Geyer (1955) and Baron-Szabo (2009).
