Conodectes favosus
Taxonomy
Conodectes favosus was named by Cope (1896). Its type specimen is AMNH 4342, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gray's Creek, 37 (Arroyo Formation), which is in a Kungurian terrestrial claystone/sandstone in the Arroyo Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Conodectes.
It was synonymized subjectively with Seymouria baylorensis by Laurin (1996).
