It was replaced with Mesotendipes by Hong (1982).
It was assigned to Diptera by Ping (1928); to Protendipedidae by Lin (1976) and Lin (1982); to Chironomapterinae by Kalugina (1985) and Kalugina (1986); to Culicidae by Carpenter (1992); to Chironomidae by Lin (1992); and to Chaoboridae by Borkent (2014).
