Pseudohalorites was named by Yabe (1928) [Sepkoski's age data: P Sakm P Guad-u Sepkoski's reference number: 303]. It is not extant.
It was assigned to Haloritidae by Spath (1951); to Goniatitida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Pseudohaloritinae by Leonova (2002), Korn (2006) and Furnish et al. (2009).
