Hoare 1993 | Aviculopecten with elongated, suborbicular, ac-line shell; anterior and posterior auricle subequal in size with anterior slightly larger and more strongly set off from body than posterior auricle; anterior margin slightly produced, more than posterior margin; beak located near center of hingeline; valve surface ornamented with fine, closely spaced costae (14-15 per 2 mm); costae on auricles weaker than on body; fine, comarginal growth lines or filae cross costae but are of smaller size than costae. |
