Apsisaurus witteri
Taxonomy
Apsisaurus witteri was named by Laurin (1991). Its type specimen is MCZ 1474, a partial skeleton (partial skull, partial vertebral column, and partial fore and hindlimb), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Archer City Bonebed 1 (Putnam Fm.), which is in a Wolfcampian terrestrial horizon in the Archer City Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Apsisaurus.
