Sudeticeras was named by Patteisky (1929) [Sepkoski's age data: C Vise-u Sepkoski's reference number: 302,304]. It is not extant. Its type is Sudeticeras hoeferi.
It was assigned to Goniatitida by Sepkoski (2002); to Sudeticeratidae by Korn (2006); and to Anthracoceratidae by Furnish et al. (2009).
