Araeoscelis casei
Taxonomy
Ophiodeirus casei was named by Broom (1913). Its type specimen is AMNH 4685, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mouth of Godwin Creek, which is in an Artinskian terrestrial conglomerate in the Nocona Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Ophiodeirus.
It was recombined as Araeoscelis casei by Vaughn (1955).
