Taxonomy
Eoasianites (Zephyroceras) was named by Kullmann (1962) [Sepkoski's age data: C Serp-l Sepkoski's reference number: 302,304]. It is not extant. Its type is Eoasianites (Zephyroceras) asturicus.

It was reranked as Zephyroceras by Sepkoski (2002), Korn (2006) and Furnish et al. (2009).

It was assigned to Eoasianites by Kullmann (1962); to Goniatitida by Sepkoski (2002); to Stenolaphyritidae by Korn (2006); and to Fayettevilleinae by Furnish et al. (2009).
