Taxonomy
Bamyaniceras was named by Termier and Termier (1970) [Sepkoski's age data: P Leon P Guad-l Sepkoski's reference number: 1251]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Prolecanitida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Propinacoceratinae by Leonova (1989), Korn (2006), Furnish et al. (2009) and Zhou (2017).
