Herbstosaurus pigmaeus
Taxonomy
Herbstosaurus pigmaeus was named by Casamiquela (1975). Its type specimen is CTES-PZ-1711, a set of postcrania (sacrum, pelvic girdle and both femora), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Arroyo Picún Leufú, which is in a Tithonian coastal sandstone in the Vaca Muerta Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Herbstosaurus.
