Taxonomy
Spiriferina mansfieldi was named by Girty (1927). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 7879 green, which is in a Smithian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Thaynes Formation of Idaho.

It was recombined as Lepismatina mansfieldi by Chen et al. (2005).
