Bakevellia exporrecta
Taxonomy
Gervillia exporrecta was named by Lepsius (1878). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Malga Bruffione, Val Caffaro, which is in an Anisian carbonate limestone in Italy.
It was recombined as Gervilleia exporrecta by Bittner (1899); it was recombined as Gervillella exporrecta by Spath (1935); it was recombined as Bakevellia exporrecta by Chen (1982), Neri and Posenato (1985), Sha (1995), Sha and Grant-Mackie (1996), Hofmann and Hautmann (2013), Hautmann et al. (2013), Pan et al. (2014), Hofmann et al. (2015) and Foster et al. (2019).
It was recombined as Gervilleia exporrecta by Bittner (1899); it was recombined as Gervillella exporrecta by Spath (1935); it was recombined as Bakevellia exporrecta by Chen (1982), Neri and Posenato (1985), Sha (1995), Sha and Grant-Mackie (1996), Hofmann and Hautmann (2013), Hautmann et al. (2013), Pan et al. (2014), Hofmann et al. (2015) and Foster et al. (2019).
