Taxonomy
Bakevellia prora was named by Chronic (1952). It is a mold. Its type locality is Bottomless Pits, Bed 9, Kaibab Formation, Walnut Canyon, which is in a Roadian shallow subtidal limestone in the Kaibab Formation of Arizona.
