Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
S. A. Revets 1993Test free, a high trochospiral, usually 4 to 5 chambers per whorl, may reduce to triserial; chambers spherical to ovate, inflated; sutures marked, sometimes to a considerable extent due to the contrast with the densely perforated chamber walls and the porefree sutural bands; apertural face commmonly depressed, aperture at axial side, delimited at peripheral side by a crista increasing during ontogeny; toothplate present, descending into lumen while the two edges curve towards each other, finally butting into the foramen between crista and wall of prepenultimate chamber, at which point the edges have fused, ending blindly; wall calcareous, hyaline, finely and commonly densely perforate.
