Taxonomy
Thamnastraea gaultierensis was named by Koby (1906). It is not extant. Its type specimen is NMB-D6452-6455 and MNHN-F-B47159 (Syntypes).

It was recombined as Andemantastraea gaultierensis by Beauvais (1972).
