Taxonomy
Oromycter dolesorum was named by Reisz (2005). Its type specimen is FMNH PR 2281, a maxilla, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Richards Spur, which is in an Artinskian fissure fill claystone/conglomerate in Oklahoma. It is the type species of Oromycter.
