Taxonomy
Brouwerites was named by Diener (1923) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Nori-m Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Clionites involutus.

It was assigned to Clionitidae by Spath (1951); to Clionititidae by Tozer (1981); to Steinmannitidae by Tozer (1994); and to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002).
