Bukowskiites was named by Diener (1907) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Anis Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Bukowskiites colvini.
It was assigned to Japonitidae by Tozer (1981); and to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002).
