Bulogites was named by Arthaber (1912) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Anis-m Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Ceratites multinodosus. It is the type genus of Bulogitinae.
It was assigned to Ceratitidae by Spath (1934); to Balatonitidae by Tozer (1981); to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Bulogitinae by Vörös (2018).
