Taxonomy
Daxatina was named by Strand (1929) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Ladi-u Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. Its type is Trachyceras canadense.

It was assigned to Trachyceratidae by Tozer (1981); to Trachyceratinae by Tozer (1994); to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Anolcitinae by Mietto and Manfrin (2008).
