Taxonomy
Dinarites was named by Mojsisovics (1882) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Olen-u Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Dinaritinae.

It was assigned to Dinaritinae by Tozer (1981); to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Dinaritidae by Mertmann and Jacobshagen (2003).
