Taxonomy
Syringoclemis wrefordensis was named by Newton (1971). Its type specimen is CY15(4) (float)-o-PC-1601 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CY15Sp, Cowley County, which is in a Sakmarian shallow subtidal limestone in the Speiser Formation of Kansas.
