Taxonomy
Aulopora voigtiana was named by King (1850). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Humbleton Hill quarry, shell-limestone, Durham, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate grainstone in the Ford Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Hippothoa voigtiana by Kirkby (1857) and Geinitz (1861); it was recombined as Corynotrypa voigtiana by Ernst (2001).
