Eusagenites was named by Tozer (1971) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Carn-u Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Sagenitidae by Tozer (1981); and to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002).
